Beginner I Chess (Mondays 4 pm)
Parents, did you know chess helps students to develop their problem solving abilities? In addition, it aids in improving your concentration, pattern recognition, algebraic and geometric thinking, spatial reasoning and critical thinking skills. This Beginner Chess class will not only help your child to develop their self-confidence, it will also aide to increase your child’s attention span and memory capacity. Geared for beginners that have never played or know some of the pieces. Students will learn the pieces and how they move. They will also learn how to play once they have mastered pawn wars.
