Brainiax was founded by an experienced educator that believes in offering a stimulating safe environment for young learners. Brainiax believes that every child is unique and when presented with a talented teacher, all children will shine! Our inclusive program focuses on each child’s cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. Brainiax incorporates a strong literacy, math and STEAM based enrichment programs that foster imaginations, encourage creativity and allow for early learners to explore and grow.

Meet The Brainiax Team

Debra

Debra is a certified educator with a Master's Degree in Education from New York University and over two decades of experience in early childhood education. As both the owner of Brainiax and Teachers, she brings a deep commitment to excellence. Motivated by her role as a mother of two, Debra founded Brainiax to create the kind of high-quality, enriching environment she wanted for her own children—her youngest being a proud graduate of the Brainiax Preschool program. She is passionate about elevating enrichment education and believes in nurturing learners through hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Outside the classroom, Debra is an active community member and volunteers with the Rotary Club of Livingston, CPAW & the Livingston Animal Shelter.

Ivette

Ivette holds a B.A. from William Paterson University and brings over eight years of experience in Special Education. She has worked with learners from preschool through middle school, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related diagnoses, adapting her teaching strategies to meet each student’s developmental needs. Grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Ivette creates structured, supportive, and engaging learning environments that foster social, academic, and daily living skills, helping every child build confidence, independence, and reach their fullest potential. Ivette loves teaching STEAM, LEGO, Investigators and more excited classes. Outside of teaching enrichment classes and tutoring, she enjoys writing poetry, exploring used bookstores, and trying out new coffee shops.

Debbie

Debbie, a master educator, brings a calm and nurturing approach that empowers students to succeed. She graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Accounting and Marketing and pursued postgraduate studies in Education at Caldwell University and Seton Hall University. With over five years of classroom experience teaching elementary students, Debbie has developed deep expertise in reading, writing, and spelling at the elementary level. Trained in the Orton‑Gillingham approach and an Expert‑level graduate of the Reading Simplified Academy, she specializes in one‑on‑one and small group literacy instruction. Patient, kind, and engaging, Debbie focuses on pinpointing each student’s starting point to create a personalized learning journey. By nurturing confidence and celebrating progress, she helps struggling readers gain both skill and self‑assurance. Driven by her passion for education and genuine desire to see children thrive, Debbie is dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential and develop a lifelong love of reading.

Julia

Julia is a dedicated and approachable educator who makes math, science and STEAM topics accessible and engaging for learners of all levels. She is currently earning her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at NJIT, where her rigorous coursework has given her both practical and theoretical expertise. Julia tutors mathematics from early fundamentals through college-level courses, as well as physics and general chemistry. With experience leading elementary enrichment classes and a strong background in advanced theoretical studies, she excels at breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. Guided by a deep sense of numbers and a commitment to building lasting understanding, Julia helps students develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive independently long after their sessions with her. Outside of tutoring, Julia loves teaching STEAM, LEGO and chess classes. She also enjoys running, caring for her house plants, and spending time with her two cats—interests that reflect her energy, curiosity, and love of growth.
