Emergent Readers – Level 1 (Tuesdays 3:00 pm)

Emergent Readers: Where Reading Meets Play!

This class is designed for 4-5 year olds ready to embark on their reading journey. We swap stressful drills for a fun, high-energy environment where kids build confidence through explicit, systematic instruction. Our curriculum focuses on the essential “building blocks” of reading: print concepts, letter mastery, and the critical phonemic awareness skills needed for future decoding.

What Your Child Will Learn:

• Letter Literacy: Full recognition of uppercase letters and a strong jump-start on lowercase letters.
• Sound Science: Mastering rhyming, syllables, and manipulating individual sounds (phonemic awareness).
• The Phonics Bridge: A gentle, multi-sensory introduction to how letters and sounds work together.
• Motor Skills in Motion: Every session blends gross and fine motor activities to keep bodies moving while minds are growing.

The Goal: To leave this class with a genuine love for reading and the rock-solid sound awareness required for the next level of literacy.
